A new world is waiting to be born

Dear sisters and partners in mission

we greet you at a time when a new world is waiting to be born.
COVID-19 has changed our lives in a significant way.
No matter what country, culture
language, gender or religious tradition, everyone is affected.
“The people who walked in darkness saw a great light;
On those who dwell in the land of darkness a light shone.”
(Isaiah 9: 1)
In our darkness we are invited to embrace a new reality
to reflect on the Light in our midst as a global community. In the stable in Bethlehem
there appeared this great Light that the world had been waiting for for centuries.
The God of Light and Love is Incarnate!
The new world that will emerge from the current situation of COVID-19 calls us to recover
our interconnectedness with all life,
to create a culture of care and fraternity.
We deeply appreciate the many ways in which each of you
responded with love and care
during these challenging times.
May you continue to bring the Light of Christ wherever you are
through a lifelong culture of care and kindness to one another.
We wish each of you and your loved ones the new Light of Christmas.
May this Light of Love
shine in your hearts, enlightening all those you meet.
