The 31st General Chapter has begun:
together toward transformation into a communion of prayer

The Congregational Chapter is a collegial assembly and the supreme authority in the congregation. Representative of the Congregation, it is a sign of unity and an expression of the participation and interest of all members in the progress of the mission. It is a spiritual event, a time for reflection and community conversion. By promoting renewal in the spirit of our charism, the chapter safeguards our heritage and is a source of life and inspiration for the entire Congregation. (Constitution 116)

Prayer for the Chapter of Congregation 2021

Shepherd God,
awaken us to your presence here and now.
Awaken us to our breath and heartbeat.
Awaken us to our interconnectedness with each other and with all creation.

Come and awaken us to your grace at work in each of our hearts.
Come and awaken in us and among us your wisdom.
Come and stir in us your gifts of courage and vulnerability.

Heart of our hearts,
Grant that we may hear, may see, may think with our hearts.
Guide us forward on our journey of radical transformation
and a universal culture of justice.

Grant that we may respond with big hearts to the call of our emerging future,
united in the footsteps of St. John Eudes and St. Mary Euphrasia. Amen
