18 March

NATIONAL DAY IN MEMORY
OF THE VICTIMS OF THE CORONAVIRUS EPIDEMY

As of this year, the Republic recognises 18 March each year as the National Day in memory of the victims of the coronavirus epidemic, in order to preserve and renew the memory of all those who died as a result of that epidemic.

It was set on the date on which military vehicles were used in Bergamo to transport the bodies.

On the occasion of this National Day, all public and private places are invited to observe a minute’s silence at 11 a.m. dedicated to the victims of the epidemic.

A gesture that unites us in this ongoing health emergency.
